Tried & Tested: GeoSafari® Jr. My First Microscope

Product rating: 5/5

About the Tester: This resource was used at an outdoor nursery school where 45 children have access to the product.

About the resource

The GeoSafari® Jr. My First Microscope is a robust, child-friendly microscope made especially for young children. It’s ideal for introducing children ages 3+ to real working scientific equipment through play-based learning.

Children can view specimens at 8x magnification, and the fixed stage holds flat and 3D objects – no slides needed. The LED light illuminates specimens, and the dual eyepieces mean young children don’t need to close one eye when viewing, making it a comfortable, easily accessible learning experience for kids. In this review, an outdoor nursery uses it for a range of activities.
